Zeyu Lin

I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Operations Management and Statistics (OMS) at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, starting Fall 2026. I received my M.S. (2026) and B.E. (2023) in Industrial Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).

My research lies at the intersection of Operations Research and Operations Management, with a focus on:

  • Shared Mobility & On-demand Platforms — operational strategies for e-bike sharing systems, including fleet rebalancing, battery management, and user incentive design
  • Network Competition & Game Theory — Cournot-type network games, crowd-sourced labor in competitive rental markets
  • Learning-Augmented Optimization — reinforcement learning for competitive fleet allocation in shared mobility markets

I am particularly interested in problems where strategic interactions among firms, platforms, and users shape operational outcomes. My work combines analytical modeling (Markov chains, game theory, optimization) with empirical validation on large-scale real-world data.

  • 2025 — Working paper “Who benefit from crowd-sourcing in rental network competition” received Reject & Resubmit (Invited) from Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (MSOM).
  • 2025 — Paper “Towards sustainable urban mobility: User-collaborative battery swapping for shared electric micromobility” submitted to Transportation Research Part B: Methodological.
